WEEK 9 - A WIDE WORLD OF COMICS

I decided to model this comic page after Frederic Boilet's 'Yukiko's Spinach'. I was drawn to it's realistic but also stylistic art style. I got a very nostalgic and personal feeling while reading it and I tried to incorporate that into my comic page by using a very nostalgic subject matter. The back and white really emphasizes the past, and the 1st-person perspective used in most of the moment-to-moment panels gives 'Yukiko's Spinach' a very personal and authentic feeling. I only had a page to translate all this into my comic but I tried to include a lot of the elements mentioned above.
